Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
Issued by National Weather Service Eureka CA
317 AM PDT Thu Jul 17 2025

...Isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, especially
in northern Klamath and Lake counties...

...Near critical southwest to west winds and low relative humidity
Thursday afternoon and evening for southern Lake and Modoc counties...

.DISCUSSION...There is a low chance of thunderstorms this afternoon,
although smoke could inhibit that potential. Dry and gusty conditions
are anticipated in south central Oregon and north eastern California
this afternoon. Gusty west and southwest winds and dry conditions are
expected again Friday afternoon - mostly along and east of the Cascades.
Temperatures will trend lower and humidity higher toward the latter
portion of the weekend into early next week and fire weather conditions
are forecast to improve.
