A cold front will settle into the area today, likely stalling in the vicinity of Cape Hatteras. This front will be a focus for thunderstorms through Saturday. Varying wind directions can be expected in the vicinity of the front. A more dominant southerly flow develops on Saturday as the front lifts north of the area. Another cold front moves through the area late Sunday.
