Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
1258 PM EST Mon Nov 17 2025

.DISCUSSION....
High pressure will become centered over the area tonight and
Tuesday with a dry airmass remaining in place and expect minimum
RH values around 25-35% away from the coast but winds will be
light at mainly less than 10 mph.

A series of weak systems will move across the area mid to late
week and could bring isolated showers across the area but an
impactful wetting rain is not expected. However, minimum relative
humidity values are expected to remain around 50% or higher.
