Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
228 PM EDT Mon Sep 1 2025

.DISCUSSION....
Breezy but mainly dry day across eastern NC as high pressure
wedges in from the north and frontal boundary remains stalled a
couple hundred miles off the NC coast. Min RHs inland fall to
40-50%, so despite windy conditions fire weather concerns remain
low. Another area of low pressure may pass over or offshore of the
area by mid next week.
