Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
257 PM EDT Sat Jun 14 2025

.DISCUSSION....
Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected through this
evening and again Sunday, with an increased risk of wetting rainfall for
much of the area. An area average of 0.50"-1.00" of rain is expected.
However, where the most persistent thunderstorm activity occurs,
rainfall amounts of 1-3" will be possible. This should continue
to keep the fire danger at a minimum.
