Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern North Carolina
National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC
202 AM EDT Tue Sep 2 2025

.DISCUSSION....
Another mainly dry day across eastern NC with lighter winds as
high pressure wedges in from the north and frontal boundary
remains stalled a couple hundred miles off the NC coast. Min RHs
inland fall to 40-50%, so despite windy conditions fire weather
concerns remain low. Another area of low pressure may pass over
or offshore of thearea by midweek.
