* At 227 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 13 nm northwest of Surf City to near Topsail Beach
  to Rich Inlet, moving east at 35 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.
