S of Cape Lookout NC to Surf City NC out to 20 nm...
* Until 145 PM EDT.
* At 1249 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
waterspouts was located over Ar345, or 10 nm southeast of Bogue
Inlet, moving northeast at 15 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
