...INCREASED FIRE DANGER FOR MUCH OF EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA FROM
NOON TO 6 PM TODAY...

A cold front will push across eastern North Carolina this
afternoon with winds shifting to northwest gusting up to 35 mph
and relative humidity values dropping to around 30 to 35 percent
which, combined with dry fuels, will bring an increased fire
danger across much of eastern North Carolina.

Outdoor burning is discouraged. Please refer to your local burn
permitting authority on whether you can burn. If you do burn, use
extreme caution and ensure fire suppression equipment is readily
available.
