Reedsburg, Prairie Du Sac, Sauk City, Portage, Columbus,
Lake Wisconsin, Lodi, Beaver Dam, Waupun, Mayville, Dodgeville,
Mineral Point, Barneveld, Madison, Watertown, Fort Atkinson,
Jefferson, Darlington, Shullsburg, Benton, Belmont, Argyle,

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air
Quality Advisory for the following counties: Columbia, Dane,
Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette,
Marquette, Rock, Sauk.

WHAT...The PM2.5 AQI is expected to reach the Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups level.

WHERE...All areas outside of northern and eastern Wisconsin.

WHEN...From 8 AM this morning until 3 PM this afternoon.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:
Sensitive groups: Make outdoor activities shorter and less
intense. It is OK to be active outdoors but take more breaks.
Watch for symptoms such as coughing or shortness of breath.
People with asthma: Follow your asthma action plan and keep quick
relief medicine handy. People with heart disease: Symptoms such
as palpitations, shortness of breath, or unusual fatigue may
indicate a serious problem. If you have any of these, contact
your health care provider.

Additional Details:
We are adjusting the coverage of the advisory to account for
PM2.5 observations this morning. We anticipate improving air
quality to continue to move in from the north and the east. It
remains possible that areas to the west will the see the advisory
extended past 3 PM.
