.DISCUSSION...
Mixing heights nearing 5000 ft this afternoon will fall quickly
around sunset tonight. Expect southwesterly winds gusting around
20 to 25 mph through this evening, with steady winds around 10 mph
through the overnight hours. Dry conditions will continue, with
minimum RH values expected to fall into the 30 to 40 percent
range over the next couple hours.
Sunday, expect southwesterly winds to become south-southwesterly
and for gusts of 25 to 30 mph to develop. Temperatures will climb
into the 80s once again, with lower temperatures in the 70s near
Lake Michigan with more onshore flow. Minimum RH values will fall
into the 30 to 40 percent range again, with potential for a few
spots to fall below 30 percent in far southern Wisconsin where
temperatures will be highest.
Late Sunday night into Monday, expect a cold front to push slowly
southeastward. Behind this front, expect lighter (5 to 10 mph)
northwesterly winds. Along and ahead of the front, scattered
showers and isolated storms are expected (precipitation chances
40 to 60 percent). Storms become more widespread across far
southern Wisconsin (60 to 80 percent chance) Monday afternoon,
moving southeastward out of the area late Monday night.
