.DISCUSSION...
Warmer conditions are anticipated through Tuesday as a cold front
gradually approaches from north-central Wisconsin. The proximity
of the boundary and warmer temperatures will support periods of
shower and thunderstorm potential across the area. The best
chances are expected Tuesday into Wednesday as the front moves
from southern Wisconsin into Illinois. Storms will have the
potential to bring beneficial rains to southern Wisconsin.
Probabilistic forecasts show medium to high (~40-80+%) potential
for an inch or more of rainfall between Monday and Wednesday
across all of southern Wisconsin, though lingering uncertainties
regarding the precise placement of daily thunderstorms makes it
difficult to offer additional details at this time. Will continue
to monitor trends over the coming forecasts. Conditions will
briefly cool during the mid-week period, with heat and humidity
returning late week and into next weekend.
