one third of the waves, along with the occasional height of the

Synopsis for Flagler Beach to Jupiter Inlet out to 60 nm

.SYNOPSIS...Scattered to numerous showers and lightning storms
are forecast late this afternoon and evening which will persist
into the overnight hours. There is the potential for strong to
severe offshore-moving storms late this afternoon and evening.
There is a Marginal Risk for severe storms over the nearshore
waters late this afternoon and evening with the potential for
damaging wind gusts up to 60mph (5-14% chance), frequent
lightning, heavy rainfall, and small hail. Additionally, a
waterspout cannot be ruled out, especially over the nearshore
waters (less than 2% chance). A cold front will arrive from the
north early Wednesday morning and is expected to settle south of
the local waters through late week. Boating conditions are
expected to deteriorate quickly behind the front as winds freshen
and seas build on Wednesday. Lower rain shower and lightning storm
chances are forecast behind the front with improving boating
conditions into the weekend.
