The National Weather Service in Melbourne has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeast and East Central Volusia County in east central Florida...

* Until 215 PM EDT.

* At 1211 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated rain continues in the
  Edgewater area. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is occurring from
  torrential rain that occurred this morning.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater, Oak Hill, Bethune Beach, Apollo Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
