.DISCUSSION...
Deep moisture and a weak surface front meandering over the area will
enhance the local summertime lightning storm pattern for the next
few days with locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning strikes
the main threats. Periods of heavy nocturnal rainfall will be
possible along the coast tonight, though confidence is low for this.
Breezy/gusty northeast winds today as low pressure develops along
the aforementioned boundary and creates a tight pressure gradient
near Melbourne northward. Strongest winds will be observed along the
Volusia coast and perhaps north Brevard with speeds increasing to
near 20 mph here and frequent gusts to 25 to 30 mph. Fair to
Generally Good dispersion values are advertised through early week.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
