.DISCUSSION...
Deep moisture across east central Florida late this week through the
holiday weekend will lead to high (60-80%) rain and storms chances
locally each afternoon into the evening hours. Frequent lightning
strikes, wind gusts to 50 mph, and torrential rainfall will be
possible with the strongest storms each day. There are no fire
weather concerns across east central Florida through the period.
Minimum RH values remain above critical thresholds thanks to the
moist airmass in place, and winds are forecast to stay at or below
15 mph. Light and variable winds in the morning become more easterly
in the afternoons as the east coast sea breeze develops and moves
inland. Afternoon smoke dispersion values are forecast to be fair to
generally good on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures remain near-
normal in the upper 80s to low 90s, with peak heat indices not
forecast to exceed 105 degrees.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
