.DISCUSSION...
High pressure to the north shifts southward and closer to the area
today. This will allow onshore winds to decrease a tad today.
However, northeast winds will still increase to 10-15 mph this
afternoon, with higher gusts to 20-25 mph possible. Onshore winds
persist into the weekend and will continue to decrease, with speeds
around 5-10 mph each day. Shower and storm chances rise today and
into the weekend as moisture increases and a disturbance moves
across the area aloft. Scattered to numerous showers and storms will
develop each day, with some stronger storms possible each afternoon
and evening. No Min RH concerns are forecast through the weekend.
Dispersion values will be Generally Good today, and then will range
from Fair to Generally Good into the weekend as surface and
transport winds continue to decrease.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
