.DISCUSSION...
High pressure to the north will gradually shift southward through
late week. Breezy northeast winds will persist across the area today,
with wind speeds 10-15 mph in the morning, increasing up to 15-20
mph with gusts to 25-30 mph in the afternoon. Northeast winds will
continue into late week, but will gradually diminish, with wind
speeds 10-15 mph tomorrow afternoon. Drier air will lower rain
chances today (20-40% for much of the area), but isolated to
scattered showers and a few storms will continue to push onshore and
inland. Shower and storm chances then rise into Friday (30-60%) as
moisture increases and a disturbance moves in aloft. No Min RH
concerns are forecast through late week. Dispersion values will be
Very Good today with the breezy onshore winds, and then drop to
Generally Good on Friday as surface and transport winds begin to
decrease.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
