.DISCUSSION...
High pressure settles across the Florida peninsula through the
remainder of this week, resulting in light northwest to northeast
winds around 5 to 10 mph. Dry air will still cause minimum RH values
to reach critical thresholds, with values falling below 35% near and
north of the I-4 corridor today. Sensitive fire weather conditions
are anticipated in this area as a result, though the lighter winds
will keep Red Flag criteria just out of reach. Moisture slowly
begins to return to the area late this week, with minimum RH values
improving above 35%. Rain will remain out of the forecast for the
foreseeable future across east central Florida. Smoke dispersion
values are forecast to be poor to fair today and Thursday, improving
to fair to generally good on Friday.
Fog potential and other remarks... Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
