Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Central Florida
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
300 PM EDT Sun Sep 13 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Scattered to numerous afternoon and evening showers and storms
continue to develop as we work into the work week. Coverage will be
highest to the west of I-95. Better rain chances return to the coast
beginning late Tuesday through Thursday. Poor to Fair smoke
dispersion early in the week becomes Good to Very Good Tuesday and
Wednesday as east-northeast winds increase both days. There are no
critical RH concerns. Seasonable temperatures in the upper 80s and
low 90s will combine with high humidity to produce peak heat index
values between 100-106 degrees through Tuesday.

Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
