Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Central Florida
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
300 PM EDT Mon Jul 14 2025

.DISCUSSION...

An unsettled pattern continues with high rain chances each day
through midweek (70-90%). An area of low pressure is forecast to
push onshore the east coast of Florida Tuesday and across the state
into Tuesday night, moving into the Gulf by Wednesday. This will
cause light and variable winds through Tuesday morning to increase
to 5-10 mph out of the east-southeast north of Orlando and south-
southeast farther south into the afternoon. South-southeast flow
then becomes established into midweek as high pressure takes
control. Smoke dispersion will generally be poor to fair across much
of the area tomorrow and then become good to very good on Wednesday.
A more seasonal pattern returns by late weak with rain chances
returning closer to normal.

Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
