.DISCUSSION...
The ridge axis of high pressure extending over Central Florida from
the Atlantic gradually lifts north the next couple days, where it
will remain into early next week. Flow remains light southerly,
becoming variable at times, shifting to the southeast at 10-15 mph
with gusts to 25 mph along the coast south of the Cape, and at
around 10 mph across the rest of the area behind the sea breeze. A
slight uptick in moisture increases rain and storm chances to 30-60
pct Thursday and Friday, highest across the interior in the late
afternoon and evening, and also brings min RHs to 50 pct or higher
across ECFL. Dispersion values range from Fair to Generally Good
across the coastal and southern counties, down to Poor to Fair
across the western interior. Above normal temperatures continue with
afternoon highs reaching the low to mid 90s, resulting in peak heat
indices between 100-105, and Moderate to Major HeatRisk impacts
across most of the area.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
