.DISCUSSION...
An active weather pattern continues across east central Florida
through this weekend, with scattered (30-50%) showers and storms
forecast during the afternoon hours each day. Shower and storm
development will primarily be driven by the sea breezes, with light
westerly flow delaying the push inland of the east coast sea breeze.
Storm hazards will continue to include frequent lightning strikes,
strong wind gusts up to 55 mph, small hail, and locally heavy
rainfall. Storm motions may become erratic and slow at times, but
generally, activity is anticipated to gradually move offshore into
the overnight hours. Outside of showers and storms, heat remains a
concern through this weekend with highs in the low to mid 90s and
peak heat indices of 102F to 107F. There are no minimum RH concerns.
Afternoon smoke dispersion values will be fair to generally good
this the weekend, with some spots becoming very good on Saturday.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
