.DISCUSSION...
A surface low pressure system is forecast to develop in the eastern
Gulf and move slowly northward toward the Florida Panhandle into
early next week. This low will cause the pressure gradient to
tighten across the area, resulting in southerly winds increasing to
10-15 mph into early next week. Scattered showers and lightning
storms are forecast each afternoon and evening. The highest coverage
is forecast across the interior each day along the sea breeze
collision. Strongest storms will be capable of producing frequent
lightning strikes, locally gusty winds, and heavy downpours.
Activity is forecast to decrease late each evening through the
overnight hours.
There are no Min RH concerns through early next week. Near to
slightly above normal temperatures are forecast each day, with
afternoon highs in the low to mid 90s and peak heat indices of 100-
107 degrees. Smoke dispersion values will be Generally Good to Very
Good through Monday.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
