.DISCUSSION...
High pressure at the surface and aloft will remain in control of
east central Florida`s weather over the next few days. The best rain
and storm chances will be focused near and north of the I-4
corridor, where the greatest moisture resides and where the sea
breeze collision is likely to occur. Any storms that do develop may
be capable of producing lightning strikes, gusty winds, and heavy
downpours. Drier air south of a line from Kissimmee to Melbourne will
keep rain chances lower across southern portions of the area over
the next couple of days, though isolated activity cannot be fully
ruled out.
There continues to be no minimum RH concerns. Even with the drier
air moving into the area, values remain above critical thresholds.
Afternoon smoke dispersion values are forecast to be fair to good
today, becoming good to very good on Tuesday. Hot and humid
conditions continue, with highs in the low to mid 90s and peak heat
indices reaching 100 to 105 in the afternoons.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
However, localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
