.DISCUSSION...
High pressure drifts south of the area today, resulting in light
westerly flow areawide that is forecast to persist through much of
this week. The east coast sea breeze will develop each afternoon,
shifting winds along the coast to out of the south to southeast.
Wind speeds will remain below 15 mph. Moisture increases across the
north today, with isolated to scattered showers and storms possible
from Kissimmee to Cape Canaveral and areas northward. Moisture
increases areawide from Tuesday onward, with a return of near-normal
rain and storm chances across all of east central Florida. There are
no minimum RH concerns over the next several days, with afternoon
smoke dispersion values forecast to be generally good both today and
Tuesday. Heat will remain a concern through at least Wednesday as
temperatures stay above-normal values. A Heat Advisory is in effect
areawide today for peak heat indices of 108F to 112F.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
