.DISCUSSION...
High pressure settles over the state for the middle
and latter portion of the week, ensuring quiet weather. Some drier
air aloft mixes to the surface over northern portions of east
central Florida today. Away from the coast and along the I-4
corridor, RH minima are forecast to range from 35-45% both
afternoons today and Wednesday. Light winds are forecast each day,
becoming northeasterly at less than 10 mph. Light to calm winds and
excellent RH recovery are forecast each night, so smoke from any
fires will have the potential to mix with patchy fog. Afternoon RH
values are expected to remain above critical thresholds beginning
Thursday in all areas. Peak afternoon dispersion looks poor to fair
over much of the area, except fair to good down on the Treasure
Coast and near Lake Okeechobee.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast
this morning. However, patchy fog will be possible each morning this
week. Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or
existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
