.DISCUSSION...
Deep moisture remains in place over the Florida peninsula into this
weekend, with high coverage of showers and storms. Scattered to
numerous showers and storms today (50-70%) become increasingly
widespread by Sunday (60-80%). Peak timing for convection will
continue to be 2 PM-8 PM. Storm motions remain overall light,
leading to erratic propagation driven by boundary collisions. A few
strong storms will be possible, producing gusty winds to near 50 mph
and lightning strikes. Slow moving storms could also produce a quick
1-3" of heavy rainfall. Light southerly winds become southeast
behind the sea breeze in the afternoon, remaining 10 mph or less. No
min RH concerns, with poor to fair dispersion. High temperatures in
the lower 90s and humid conditions will produce heat indices 102-107
degrees.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
