Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Central Florida
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
300 PM EDT Sun Oct 5 2025

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure over the eastern US will maintain breezy onshore flow
through early this week. Afternoon winds of 15-20 mph are forecast,
gusts near 25 mph. Along the coast, winds will be a bit stronger,
closer to 20-25 mph, with gusts to 30 mph. High moisture over the
area will also continue to produce scattered to numerous, quick
moving showers. Accumulations are forecast around 1-3"; however,
isolated higher amounts up to 4-5" will be possible in any training
bands, mainly along the coast, leading to flooding concerns. Rain
chances will begin to diminish into mid-week, as drier air moves
into the area. No min RH concerns, with fair to good dispersion.

Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
