.DISCUSSION...
Scattered to numerous afternoon and early evening showers and storms
remain forecast through mid-week, with a cool front passage on
Thursday. Isolated strong storms will be possible each afternoon,
producing frequent lightning strikes, strong wind gusts to 40-50 mph
and and locally heavy rainfall of 1-3 inches. Light onshore winds
today back north-northeast Wednesday, remaining 10 mph or less.
North-northeast winds then become breezy to windy on Thursday behind
the front, increasing to 15-20 mph from Melbourne northward with
gusts 25-30 mph, highest along the coast. Until winds increase,
cannot rule out patchy fog development each night. No min RH
concerns. Poor to fair dispersion through Wednesday improves to fair
to good Thursday.
Fog potential...There is a very low (10%) chance for fog over the
interior and along the Treasure Coast late tonight into early
Wednesday morning. Otherwise, widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
