.DISCUSSION...
High pressure builds offshore the Mid-Atlantic coast, with ridge
axis remaining north of the region, through late week. This will
result in onshore flow persisting through late week. East-southeast
winds 7-12 mph this afternoon. Into Thursday and Friday winds
increase out of the east-southeast, with speeds around 10-15 mph
each afternoon. Moisture increases in the onshore flow, leading to a
higher coverage of diurnal showers and lightning storms. Isolated to
scattered showers will be possible along the coast each morning and
overnight, with coverage of showers and lightning storms increasing
to scattered to numerous and spreading inland each afternoon.
Highs will be near to slightly above normal rising into the upper
80s to low 90s into late week. There are no Min RH concerns. Smoke
dispersion values will be Poor to Fair this afternoon and Fair to
Generally Good Thursday and Friday.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
