.DISCUSSION...
Persistent high pressure across the Florida peninsula will keep
winds light and variable during the morning hours, becoming south to
southeast in the afternoon as the east coast sea breeze develops and
moves inland. Wind speeds will remain around 10 mph. Drier air will
keep rain and storm chances below normal through this weekend (20-
40%), with no minimum RH concerns anticipated across the area. Fair
smoke dispersion values today will improve slightly on Sunday,
becoming fair to good. Heat remains a concern through this weekend,
with a Heat Advisory in effect areawide between 10 AM and 8 PM today
for peak heat indices exceeding 108F. Additional Heat Advisories
cannot be ruled out over the coming days.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
