.DISCUSSION...
Isolated to numerous generally northwest moving showers and
lightning storms are forecast this morning mainly near the coast
from Melbourne southwards with onshore surface flow. Rain and storm
chances increase into the afternoon from southeast to northwest
across east central Florida (highest chances between 2PM 8PM).
Scattered to numerous showers and lightning storms are forecast to
develop on Friday with the greatest chances between 12PM-8PM. The
potential exists for isolated strong storms each afternoon/evening.
East-sotuheast winds at 10-15mph with gusts to 20-25mph each
afternoon/evening. A persistent weather pattern is expected into the
weekend with high rain chances.
Afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s with heat index values up to
the mid 90s to around 100F degrees are expected today. Slightly
warmer highs in the upper 80s to around 90F degrees are forecast
Friday with heat index values between 98F-105F degrees. There are no
critical RH values expected. Dispersion values will be Poor to
Generally Good today and Friday.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
