.DISCUSSION...
High pressure builds offshore the Mid-Atlantic coast tomorrow, with
ridge axis remaining north of the region. This will lead to a
developing onshore flow that will persist into late week. Winds will
be light and variable into Wednesday morning, becoming easterly up
to 7-12 mph in the afternoon. Then into Thursday and Friday winds
increase out of the east-southeast, with speeds around 10-15 mph
each afternoon. Moisture rises in the onshore flow, leading to an
increase in daily showers and lightning storms. Greatest coverage of
this activity will be during the afternoon and early evening, but
isolated to scattered onshore moving showers and a storm or two will
be possible along the coast in the morning.
Highs will be near to slightly above normal rising from the mid to
upper 80s on Wednesday to upper 80s to low 90s into late week. There
are no Min RH concerns forecast, with dispersion values ranging from
poor to fair on Wednesday and fair to generally good on Thursday.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
