.DISCUSSION...
Drier air will remain in place across the Florida peninsula through
Monday, with no mentionable rain chances forecast. By Tuesday,
moisture begins to return across southern portions of the area,
specifically near the Treasure Coast and areas around Lake
Okeechobee, with rain and storm chances increasing to 20-30%.
Lightning, gusty winds, and heavy downpours will be possible with
any activity that develops on Tuesday. Light and variable winds are
anticipated to continue through Monday, becoming more onshore along
the coast as a weak east coast sea breeze develops and moves inland.
By Tuesday, easterly to southeasterly winds develop areawide. Wind
speeds are forecast to remain below 15 mph. Minimum RH values are
forecast to remain above critical thresholds each day. Afternoon
smoke dispersion values are anticipated to be fair each day.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
