.DISCUSSION...
Isolated to scattered showers (20-50% chance) and lightning storms
are forecast to develop in the afternoon and evening as collisions
occur between west-northwest surface winds, the east coast sea
breeze, and outflow from previous showers/lightning storms. Rain
chances diminish hy around 8PM. West-northwest winds at 4-8mph are
expected to turn onshore in the afternoon and evening with the east
coast sea breeze mainly to the south of I-4. Expect a similar
forecast on Thursday with slightly lower rain chances (30-40%).
Below normal rain chances are expected through the end of the week
(30-50% chance on Friday) with the east coast sea breeze pushing
inland in the afternoon and evening. The potential exists for an
isolated strong storm or two each day.
Conditions will be hot and very humid with afternoon highs in the
low to mid 90s and heat index values up to 108-112 degrees each day
through Friday. There are no critical RH concerns. Dispersion values
will be Poor to Very Good today and Poor to Generally Good on
Thursday. There is a Limited Fire potential for the Treasure Coast
and Okeechobee counties today, as well as for all of east central
Florida on Thursday.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
