Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Central Florida
National Weather Service Melbourne FL
300 PM EDT Sat Aug 15 2026

...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure will maintain light and variable winds early each day
before turning south to southeast behind the east coast sea breeze.
Drier air should keep rain chances 20% or less on Sunday. Isolated
to scattered rain chances return near and north of Orlando Monday as
moisture spreads southward, and a more seasonal pattern of afternoon
and evening storms builds areawide into mid week. There are no
critical RH concerns. Fair to Generally Good smoke dispersion on
Sunday becomes Generally Good more areawide on Monday and Tuesday.
Above normal temperatures continue with peak heat index values
between 106-110F each afternoon.

Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
