.DISCUSSION...
High pressure expands across the eastern U.S. into midweek, locally
increasing east-northeast winds. Good smoke dispersion today becomes
Very Good to Excellent Wednesday as winds increase to 15-20+ mph
with peak gusts 25-30 mph at times, as well as on Thursday as winds
remain breezy at 10-15 mph with gusts to around 20 mph. Isolated to
scattered showers and storms have formed and pushed onshore already
this afternoon, with activity increasing in coverage (rain chances
50-60 percent) as the sea breeze pushes inland this afternoon. A
generally wet pattern continues through late week, perhaps remaining
drier northwest of I-4 Wednesday and Thursday. There are no critical
RH concerns. Temperatures will be seasonable with highs in the upper
80s to low 90s with peak heat indices 100-107F each day through late
week.
Fog potential...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
