.DISCUSSION...
High pressure across the southeast US is building across the Florida
peninsula today and will remain through late week. Drier air is
filtering across east central Florida this afternoon behind the cold
front, resulting in no mentionable rain chances through late week.
Cloud cover will continue to improve this afternoon, with partly
sunny skies through Friday. NW-NNW winds at 5-10 mph today will
shift to the NE-ENE Thursday, and S-SW on Friday. Min RHs 50% or
higher today, dropping a bit Thursday but still 40% or higher.
Afternoon dispersion values will be poor to fair today and Thursday,
and fair to generally good on Friday. Rain chances return to the
forecast on Saturday ahead of another approaching cold front, with a
low to medium (20-50 percent) chance of rain, mainly north of the
Treasure Coast and Okeechobee counties. A low threat of lightning
storms also returns on Saturday, mainly across the far north.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
