.DISCUSSION...

Isolated to widely scattered showers (30% chance) and lightning
storms are forecast to develop this afternoon and evening as
collisions occur between sea breezes and outflow from previous
showers/lightning storms. Light and variable winds are forecast to
increase, as well as turn onshore in the afternoon with the east
coast sea breeze at 4-8mph. Rain chances diminish by around 7PM.
The potential exists for a strong storm capable of frequent
lightning, wind gusts up to 30-50mph, and heavy rainfall (up to
1-3"). An afternoon high of 95F degrees with maximum heat index
values between 108-112 degrees are forecast. Dispersion values
will be Poor to Fair. There are no critical RH concerns. There is
a Limited Fire potential today.
