.DISCUSSION...Good morning. High pressure south of the area will
remain in place through the weekend, maintaining west to northwest
flow across the burn site. Wind speeds will generally be less than
10 mph each day. The east coast sea breeze is forecast to form this
afternoon, with minimal and slow movement inland. This feature may
not develop at all on Saturday or remain near the coast due to the
stronger "opposing" low-level flow. Abundant moisture will persist
through the weekend, supporting the potential for numerous to
widespread showers and lightning storms (60-80 percent chance) each
afternoon and early evening. Main storm hazards will be frequent
lightning strikes, gusty winds exceeding 35 mph, and locally heavy
rainfall. Afternoon smoke dispersion values will be Poor to Fair.
