.DISCUSSION...
Favorable boating conditions today outside of afternoon
thunderstorms. Onshore (S-SE) winds at 5-10 kts heave developed
behind the sea breeze, and will continue into the late evening. Seas
1-2 ft. Isolated lightning storms have developed near the coast on
the sea breeze, which may push offshore over the next couple hours.
Additional afternoon lightning storms will develop inland and
reach the coast after 4 PM. Storm motion will be erratic, but
some could push towards the coast and offshore as well. Storms
will be capable of wind gusts in excess of 34 knots and locally
higher seas. Most storms will diminish after 9 PM, but there is a
small chance for isolated showers and storms to develop over the
Atlantic overnight. Winds become light southerly overnight as the
flow regime shifts from offshore to onshore Wednesday, with light
winds in the morning becoming SE-ESE around 10 kts in the
afternoon. Seas remain 1-2 ft. Chances for showers and lightning
storms developing over the Atlantic waters before moving inland
increase Wednesday.
