...November 2025 Was Cooler and Much Drier Than Normal Across East
Central Florida...

Cold fronts that moved through the area led to brief cooler periods
during the start and end of November. However, it was a strong cold
front that moved through early on the 10th that was most noteworthy.
This front led to well below normal temperatures from the 10th
through the 13th. On the 11th, all locations set or tied their daily
record lows and cool highs as daily average temperatures plummeted
to around 20 degrees below normal. Overall, average temperatures for
November 2025 ended up around 1 to 2 degrees cooler than normal.
Rainfall was quite limited for the month, with isolated to scattered
showers and at times a few storms mainly associated with the passing
cold fronts across the region. Monthly precipitation totals ended up
below to well below normal, and ranked within the top 10 driest
November rankings for several sites. The most notable was Vero
Beach, which had their driest November on record, with only 0.03
inches for the month!

...Temperatures...

Cooler than normal temperatures started off November, with highs
mostly in the 70s and lows in the 50s, behind a cold front that had
moved through late in October and another reinforcing cold front
that moved through early on the 3rd. Temperatures then gradually
rose and become near to above normal for several days thereafter,
with highs peaking in the mid to upper 80s on the 8th, which ended
up being the warmest day of the month. A strong cold front then
pushed through early on the 10th, which led to a significant drop in
temperatures from the 10th through the 13th. The coldest of these
days (and coldest day for the month) was on the 11th, when daily
average temperatures were around 20 degrees below normal. All
primary climate sites broke or tied their record lows and record
cool highs for the day, with lows that morning in the mid 30s to low
40s and highs only reaching into the mid 50s to low 60s. That in
total was 14 records in one day (see list below)! Additional min
temperature records were set or tied at Daytona Beach, Leesburg and
Sanford the next morning on the 12th, with lows in the upper 30s to
around 40 degrees.

Temperatures then climbed through mid to late month, with daily
average temperatures mostly above normal. Highs were often in the
low 80s and lows in the 50s and 60s from the 17th through the 26th.
However, max temperatures did reach up into the mid 80s at times,
and Daytona Beach actually tied their record high on the 26th,
reaching 85 degrees. Another cold front then moved through on the
27th, with temperatures falling below normal, especially on the
28th, as lows fell into the 40s and highs only reached into the 60s.
The more extreme drop in temperatures during the 10th through the
13th combined with brief cooler periods during the start and end of
November led to monthly average temperatures that were below normal
by 1 to 2 degrees.

...Rainfall...

No rain occurred across the area for the first five days of the
month, with only light rainfall occurring (around a tenth of an inch
or less) across southern portions of east central Florida on the
6th. A few showers did develop on the 7th and 8th, but otherwise
mostly dry conditions prevailed. Then, well ahead of a strong cold
front, scattered showers and storms moved across northern areas,
mainly north of Melbourne on the 9th. This activity produced some of
the highest rainfall amounts for the month, with locally higher
totals of 1-2 inches from near downtown Orlando northeast through
Seminole County, as well as southern Volusia and northern Brevard
counties. Otherwise, totals were generally around a half of an inch
or less. Additional light showers then occurred near to north of
Orlando on the 10th.

Dry conditions then set in for a long stretch of the month, with no
rainfall occurring across east central Florida from the 11th through
the 22nd. A few showers occurred along a stalled frontal boundary on
the 23rd, mainly across Volusia County, but otherwise it remained
mostly dry on the 24th and 25th. Some showers and storms developed
the next couple days, mainly across southern portions of east
central Florida ahead of a cold front that pushed through the area
on the 27th. The month then ended mostly dry, with the exception of
light isolated to scattered showers that were able to push onshore
south of the Cape.

A majority of the rainfall for November resulted from showers and
storms on the 9th across northern areas, and during the 26th and
27th for southern portions of the region. Still, monthly
precipitation amounts for many locations were quite meager, ending
up below to well below normal for the month. Totals for much of the
area were only around a half an inch or less, and for some locations
much less. Vero Beach only picked up 0.03 inches of rain for the
month, which ranked as the driest November on record for this site,
breaking the previous record of 0.11 inches from November of 1970.
Other sites had totals that were within their respective top ten
driest rankings for November. For Orlando, it was the 3rd driest
November on record, with only 0.07 inches of rainfall for the month.
Additionally, it was the 4th driest November on record at Fort
Pierce, with 0.33 inches and 7th driest at Leesburg and Melbourne,
with 0.18 inches and 0.39 inches of precipitation respectively.
