Forecast remains on track through tonight. With the rain that
occurred this evening and expectation for relatively clear skies
and calm winds throughout the low level profile overnight tonight,
some patchy shallow fog can`t be ruled out in some spots through
daybreak generally along and east of I-65. MM/25

An upper ridge over the southern plains will amplify through
Friday as it remains centered west of the area. Meanwhile, a
shortwave moving across the midwest will help carve out a long
wave trough off the east coast by Friday. Current visible
satellite imagery shows the influence of the upper ridge with most
of the cumulus development east of I-65 with stronger subsidence
to the west creating clear skies. Radar imagery indicates showers
and thunderstorms increasing in coverage across areas east of I-65
moving southwest. A few of these storms could become strong with
gusty winds and frequent lightning the main threats. Showers and
storms remain isolated on Wednesday ahead of an approaching front.
This front will move through the area late Wednesday into
Thursday with a much drier and slightly cooler airmass moving into
the area. A dry northwest flow aloft prevails through the end of
the week. By early next week, the ridge weakens as a shortwave
digs across the plains states. Increasing moisture and a weakening
upper ridge will bring rain chances back into the area for the
start of next week. /13

VFR flight category will prevail through the day Wednesday. Winds
will generally calm this evening into the overnight, becoming
northerly to northeasterly at around 5 knots after daybreak
Wednesday. Some patchy, shallow fog can`t be ruled out tonight
east of the I-65 corridor. MM/25

A light diurnal flow prevails through Wednesday, with winds becoming
onshore flow each afternoon then offshore at night. A light
to moderate northeasterly flow develops Thursday and briefly becomes
a bit stronger on Friday. Seas will be around 1 foot, then slowly
build to 2 to 4 feet Thursday into Friday.
