Summary...Flash flood potential will continue for another 3-6
hours across several areas of Colorado.

Discussion...Scattered thunderstorms continue in progress across
several areas of Colorado currently.  Most recent radar/satellite
indicate that the greatest concentration of storms exists across
western and south-central portions of the state -- primarily where
the low-level airmass has been relatively undisturbed from prior
convection.  Storms remain capable of heavy rainfall and 1-1.25
inch/hr rain rates, which continues to be supported by areas of
1-1.5 inch PW and 500-1500 J/kg MLCAPE -- both higher with eastern
extent.

Models and observations both suggest that storms should continue
for several more hours across the state.  Eventually, a transition
to slow-moving, yet forward-propagating clusters will occur as
convection gets east of the Front Range toward better
instability/moisture across the Plains.  These trends should
support longevity of thunderstorms along with local rain rates to
2 inches/hr at times, with storms reaching the CO/KS border region
after 04Z/10p mountain time.  CAMs hint at lingering convection in
western Colorado during that time as well -- and that activity
might be supported both by abundant moisture and an approaching
mid-level shortwave trough out of Utah through the early overnight
period.  Flash flood potential will persist during that time as
well.
