The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  A Dam Breach on the Blue Earth River below Rapidan Dam in...
  Central Blue Earth County in south central Minnesota...

* Until 1030 AM CDT Tuesday.

* At 420 PM CDT, water continues to erode one bank of the Rapidan
  Dam causing the Blue Earth River to bypass the dam uncontrolled.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding from the breach of Rapidan Dam.

  SOURCE...Dam operator.

  IMPACT...Flooding of areas downstream from the Rapidan Dam
           along the Blue Earth River.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Blue Earth River, Le Sueur River and Minneopa Creek.
Flooding is occurring along the Blue Earth River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you are in low lying areas below the Rapidan Dam you should move
to higher ground immediately.
