The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern McLeod County in central Minnesota...
  Southeastern Meeker County in central Minnesota...
  Southwestern Wright County in central Minnesota...
  Northwestern Carver County in east central Minnesota...

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 520 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles south of
  Dassel, or 8 miles north of Hutchinson, moving east at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
           damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Montrose, Cokato, Winsted, Howard Lake, Dassel, Waverly,
  Hollywood, New Germany and Smith Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek
shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a
well-built structure.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT Monday for
portions of central and east central Minnesota.
