FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
602 AM EDT Tue Jul 15 2025

.DISCUSSION...

A slow-moving front will march across the UP today through tomorrow,
bringing multiple rounds of rainfall and thunderstorms with it.
Ahead of the front, expect winds out of the south to southwest at 10-
15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph, though dew points approaching or
exceeding 70 degrees will keep minimum RHs above 50 percent for
most. As the front passes, winds turn primarily northerly to
northeasterly at 5-10 mph with a few gusts of 15-20 mph. With
abundant showers and cooling temperatures, minimum RHs Wednesday
will be in the 70s and 80s percent ranges. Total rainfall by
Wednesday night is expected to be 1-2 inches in the north and west,
half an inch to an inch in the central, and around a tenth of an
inch and the south and east.
