FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
601 AM EDT Sun Aug 31 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Dry and pleasant weather is expected through Labor Day weekend as
high pressure ridging stays over the Great Lakes region. While
temperatures will gradually warm to the 70s and lower 80s today to
Labor Day, light winds and RHs above 40% will keep fire weather
concerns low. We may see some afternoon rain showers and
thunderstorms today and Labor Day over mainly the west. However, no
widespread rain or severe weather is expected, although some
isolated spots may get up to half an inch of liquid in the heaviest
downpours.
