FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
442 AM EDT Fri Jun 21 2024

.DISCUSSION:

Frequent chances for rain throughout the forecast period will
continue to keep fire weather concerns low. Showers, with some
rumbles of thunder, move into the area today as a warm front
stalls out over WI. The best chances for rain will be closer to
the WI border. Rain becomes more likely tonight through Saturday,
with some heavy rain accumulations possible. Otherwise,
temperatures remain on the cool side with cloudy skies and rounds
of rainfall. Most of the UP will only peak near the 70 degree mark
today, while winds generally out of the E stay light. Winds
increase out of the SE for Saturday, with gusts to 15-20mph
possible across the Keweenaw and eastern UP, but expect even
cooler temperatures with highs only in the 60s.
