FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
521 AM EDT Sat Jun 15 2024

.DISCUSSION:

Dry weather continues for one more day, but winds will be on the
increase ahead of our next disturbance. Southerly wind gusts up to
20mph are possible this afternoon. Temperatures range in the 70s
during the afternoon while RH drops into the mid 30s in some
spots, but the risk of fire spread should be mitigated by plenty
of recent rainfall. Chances for showers and storms finally begin
to sneak into the far western UP by the evening, then showers and
storms will be likely overnight through Sunday morning.
Temperatures will be turning warmer Sunday, and will continue to
trend well above average into next week, but this will come with
frequent opportunities for rain through the rest of the
forecast period.
