.DISCUSSION...Light rain showers are expected today mainly along the
MI/WI state line, though there is a 40 percent chance that showers
could reach as far north as the Keweenaw Peninsula and as far east
as Manistique by tonight. Minimum RHs today as a result are above 60
percent for the interior west and central UP, though the eastern UP
staying out of showers and the Keweenaw Peninsula could see minimum
RHs falling to the mid 40s percent to 50s percent ranges. Expect
winds ranging from southeast to northeast at 5 to 10 mph, though
winds may become variable in the vicinity of the Lake Superior lake
breeze this afternoon.
Sunday, more rain showers are possible (up to 45 percent chance)
mainly for the interior western and central UP though showers may
(15-30 percent chance) reach the northern and eastern UP.
Additionally, a 15-20 percent chance of thunder is possible for the
far western UP beginning in the late afternoon hours. Minimum RHs
are expected to be similar to today with higher values around 70
percent in the interior west and central and values as low as the
mid 40s for the north and east. Winds will be out of the southeast
at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph.
