FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
506 AM EDT Sun Jun 23 2024

...More chances of rain today before a dry Monday...

.DISCUSSION:
As the most recent round of rain showers exits the UP to the east
throughout this morning, another round of rain chances with some
thunder possible will pass through the UP this afternoon. Winds will
be northerly and northwesterly today, mainly around 10 mph but could
be up to 20 mph in the east along Lake Superior. Minimum RHs will
mainly be in the upper 50s and 60s, though locations near Lake Superior
will stay in the 70 percent range.

A weak high pressure moving in will keep most precipitation at bay
overnight into Monday evening. Winds will be southerly at 5-10 mph
except for some variable winds near a Lake Superior lake breeze.
Minimum RHs fall to the 40s and 50s except for some 60s downwind of
Lake Michigan. An approaching cold front from the west will signal the
return of showers and thunderstorms Monday night.
